Hello...

Welcome to the Kirklees Wargames Club blog and forum. We are a small group of table-top wargamers who get together weekly to play games which vary from Ancient/Medieval, through English Civil War, American War of Independence, American Civil War, and all things Napoleonic, plus WW2 to Sci-fi and fantasy, using scale-model armies on purpose-built terrain and scenery. We meet at Beaumont Park Visitors Centre, Beaumont Park Road, Huddersfield HD4 7AY on Monday evenings from 6.15pm. New members (over 18) are always welcome. You can just drop in or contact us on: kirkleeswargamesclub@gmail.com. Facebook: Kirklees Wargames Club and Twitter: @KirkleesWC

Hello all. Moved from Lincolnshire to Mirfield a week before Boris put us in lock down. Been wargaming for almost 40 years. All scales, most periods and would like to get involved with this group. Are you meeting again??

Hi there, sorry about the late reply, your message had be awaiting moderator approval so hadn't been seen.

On the plus side you haven't missed anything at the club as we're unfortunately still not able to open. Fingers crossed though, as soon as we are able to, we are going to be back wargaming at the club. All the details are still the same, we still plan on playing on Monday evenings and you are more than welcome to come along whenever you fancy. There is always plenty of room in the games we play and there is always room if you would like to plan a game yourself or in collaboration with someone else. If you are still interested in joining you can let us know here or just drop in on any Monday night (abiding by any government regulations that are in place regarding COVID-19 and the ever changing situation) when we re-open. We shall put up a blog post when we are re-opening, so just bookmark the blog page and check in every so often.

Cheers,
The KWG.
