In last weeks Zoom call I'd briefly mentioned a little side project called Turnip28 that I'd heard about on the internet of all places. I said I would post a picture at some point and so here we are. I have taken to butchering some pretty poor sculpts from Warlord Games and turned them in to this,
Whilst I'm here breaking the cardinal rules of a historical wargames group, I may as well add some Warhammer 40'000 models I've painted as well.

Brilliant painting Alex. Are the infantry figures out collecting firewood ?
Cheers Guy. It would seem they could be used for that purpose, but the fantasy world of Turnip28 has plants and fungus growing from everything living. It's safe to say the lore around Turnip28 is very bizarre.
Ah, now I get it....lovely paint job as always.
Lovely stuff Alex, how did you make the vegetation, How many figures would you need for a game?
The Warhammer stuff looks great too, is the tyranid the first of many?
I just used some grass tufts, a bit of watered down poly-fila and some lichen all sealed in with watered down wood glue. Once primed they were pretty indestructible. As for numbers, it's anyone guess as it will be dependant on which ruleset it is set to.
I knocked out a box of 12 Tyranids in 36 hours. I just need to add 2 or 3 more models and they're done and dusted.
Heretic! Burn him!
Seriously, though, brilliant paint jobs, dude.
@ Ian, Ha! I wondered why everyone was stacking the logs up.....heresy indeed!!
